Job Description:

Point Blank Digital has an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Apprentice for a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Role.We are looking for an inspired, creative, self-motivated, reliable and hard-working individual who would like to get into this fast pasted, exciting industry.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Create, implement and oversee SEO strategies for Point Blank Digital clients.
  • Understand the client’s marketplace and business goals.
  • Hands on delivery of work to improve on-site optimisation and improve strategies.
  • Analyse data to inform account activity and deliver recommendations.
  • Ensure SEO best practice is adhered to.
  • Ensure activity is completed in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
  • Learn to Manage your own workload.
  • Take ownership of results from strategies, including reporting, presenting, forecasting and KPIs.
  • Liaise with clients to discuss end of month reports and SEO strategies.
  • Keep on top of SEO industry trends and updates.
  • Work with other departments such as Content & Outreach that relate to your clients.
  • Keep up to date with latest google guidelines and updates related to SEO.


5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • A confident individual who can work to deadlines by prioritising tasks to keep on top of multiple campaigns
  • A team player with the ability to work with staff at all levels
  • An ambitious, self-motivated & results driven person
  • A computer literate, with excellent written English
  • Understanding of digital marketing and search engine optimisation would be a bonus, but not a necessity.
  • Someone who ideally has 5 GCSE’s (C grade and above) including Maths (Grade B or plus preferably) Science and English
  • Ability to analyse data, extract insights and share perspectives for improvements to marketing strategy.
  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise and take ownership of deliverables to clients.
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills/knowledge

Additional Skills not required but would benefit:

  • Basic Search Engine Optimisation knowledge
  • Personal digital marketing experience (blog, social media, SEO, etc.)
  • Knowledge or an understanding of Google Products (AdWords/Analytics)

Future prospects:

This role offers long-term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position. Whereby you will be given you own clients to manage and work with your manager on creating & delivering marketing strategies. You will also be given on-going training to help you develop and progress within the company. Once in a full-time position, you will be eligible for the company bonus scheme.

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer and Certified Digital Marketing Professional by DMI, with training in how to:

  • Master the art of crafting compelling content tailored for diverse audiences and a variety of marketing channels, ensuring sensitivity and effectiveness in communication.
  • Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
  • Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
  • Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
  • Develop, understand, and apply marketing briefs and plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand consistency.
