What are the entry requirements for a Level 3 apprenticeship?

To begin a Level 3 apprenticeship, you will need to be 16 and over and living in England. You shouldn’t be in full-time education, although you can apply whilst you are still in school as long as you aren’t planning to remain there. If you don’t already have GCSEs in maths and English, you’ll generally undergo Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship and will also need to meet any other criteria set out by the employer. There aren’t any Level 3 UCAS points required, simply an application and the required GCSEs.

How do Level 3 apprenticeships work?

A Level 3 advanced apprenticeship will offer you the opportunity to earn and learn at the same time. You will spend most of your time working in a workplace, learning job-specific skills and earning a wage. The rest of your time will be spent with a training provider, helping you to learn the theory and put it into practice. At various points throughout your apprenticeship you’ll be assessed, with a final End Point Assessment at the conclusion.
