Growing nationwide roofing contractor are expanding their Cheshire Offices, currently seeking a Marketing Apprentice to join them. Working within a tight knit team, the candidate will be joining the business as it actively looks to expand, offering a great opportunity for development and progression of a long-term career.

Job Description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Multi-Channel Marketing Apprentice with Salt Town Contractors to join their team in their office in Cheshire.

This position offers a genuine scope for on the job learning and the chance to join a growing and ambitious business. The role of a multi-channel marketer is to support marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service through awareness raising and/or perception building to generate results for Salt Town Contractors. You will be working as part of a team with various departments and external contractors, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Write clean marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Social media – Facebook & LinkedIn
  • Posting videos or content links about our services
  • Coordinate social media messages with the sales team
  • Graphic Design of social media graphics
  • Promotional & Marketing videos
  • Liaise with our marketing department & report to Directors & Operations
  • Contribute to the marketing plan, delivery, and evaluation of social media strategic:
    • Marketing activity through the creation of written planning and evaluation documents and presentations
  • Use appropriate primary and/or secondary research methods including survey tools:
    • key word research tools and desktop research to gather marketing insight or evaluation
  • Use research data to inform marketing decisions, targeting, planning, delivery:
    • Feedback/progress on all research and marketing activities and feedback in a qualitative
    • Measure to relay in a high-level format to management monthly via a presentation
  • Source, create and edit content in collaboration with current marketing team for
    • Appropriate marketing channels, such as website, email, social media, sales materials, affiliate marketing or event displays, ensuring that brand guidelines are met to achieve
    • Marketing objectives by engaging with our clients/followers and collating feedback
  • Support and manage the cataloguing of offline and digital marketing materials and:
    • Assets in line with marketing regulations and legislation including sustainability of hard copy and digital campaigns using STC current digital platforms and software, e.g., storage and organisation of marketing materials, administering creative asset
    • Management systems, recycling/circular economy/energy consumption.
  • Publish, monitor and respond to editorial, creative, or video content via website:
    • Social media/video sharing platforms, offline platforms, up to 8 posts a month.
  • Support the administration of marketing activities, e.g., organise a webinar or:
    • Online/offline event; run an email campaign, run a pay per click (PPC) campaign, support press, advertising and PR activity, and partner marketing activity. e.g. Engage with affiliates and partners to promote event activities and marketing at events/press, i.e. create/run promotions of business in line with partners such as raft race, BJJ champion sponsorship etc
  • Use the organisation’s customer relationship management system (inhouse or:
    • Externally sourced) to maintain accurate customer data and relationships are managed in the pursuit of marketing goals.
  • Utilising research and insight gained of the roofing and construction industry innovative:
    • Technologies, new emerging trends, regulations, meaningful and consequential industry
    • Stories i.e. new material application techniques, site survey imagery (infer-red benefit)
    • Use this information to create campaign plans for director sign off
  • Contribute to the monitoring of marketing expenditure and activities to a specified:
    • Budget and plan in line with company processes
  • Monitor, optimise, analyse and evaluate marketing campaigns and channels in order to:
    • Deliver on marketing objectives for the organisation and/or clients, measuring marketing
    • Delivery effectivenes


5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • Graphic Design of social media graphics would be beneficial
  • Experience in social media content calendars would be advantageous
  • Experience of social media engagement
  • Experience using Microsoft Office

  • Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
  • Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
  • Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
  • Develop, understand, and apply marketing briefs and plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand consistency.
