Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a multi-channel marketing and events apprentice with Tykes Teaching Alliance based at Unit 5, Dodworth, Barnsley.

Job Description:

As the Multi-Chanel Marketing & Events Apprentice, you will work on digital marketing activities to promote both our range of professional development programmes and our professional learning spaces at Unit 5. You will work to briefs and instructions provided but will also be actively encouraged to submit your ideas.

You will have an opportunity to manage your own tasks but will always be under the direct supervision of the team.

You will work in collaboratively with the Marketing Apprentice based at Exchange Teacher Training.

You will support the practical organisation of events (before, during and after) taking place in our professional learning spaces.

You will study towards a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketing qualification. There is an expectation you will complete assignments on time.

We want to attract the best apprentices to work at Tykes Teaching Alliance, as such we pay above the national apprenticeship pay rates for all apprentices. You don’t have to wait for a year to be paid your age related National Minimum Wage, we pay this from your first day with us.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Under supervision, create content design in adherence with brand guidelines including planning, delivery and scheduling for channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X and LinkedIn, (with potential to expand channels) to promote our range of professional development programmes and our professional learning spaces available for hire.
  • Under supervision, schedule content through tools such as Hootsuite, ensuring consistency across channels with regular updates and monitoring.
  • Under supervision, conduct keyword research and use SEO techniques to increase visibility on all channels.
  • Under supervision, create content with Canva, developing templates, working to develop workflow and approval system.
  • Under supervision, create content with Photoshop and other apps in the Adobe Suite where relevant.
  • Under supervision, create flyers/brochures to promote our professional development programmes.
  • Under supervision, create flyers/brochures to promote our professional learning spaces available for hire
  • Under supervision, assist in the development of email marketing.
  • Under supervision, assist in the maintenance and development of Tykes Teaching Alliance’s website.

  • Under supervision, ensure all material is produced to a high standard and consistently aligned to brand guidelines.
  • Under supervision, analyse content and campaign performance to provide recommendations to improve engagement for future campaigns, in line with social trends.
  • Under supervision, actively research social trends, including channel relevance.
  • Before professional learning events take place – preparation and distribution of registers, delegate badges and fully stocked facilitator resource boxes.
  • Before professional learning events take place – ensure the spaces are ready for delegates to arrive with refreshments set up and presentations displayed.
  • During professional learning events – provide a warm welcome to delegates and support them to sign in.
  • During professional learning events – under supervision, support our Kitchen Manager set out buffets/catering ensuring Food Hygiene requirements are followed.
  • During professional learning events – ensure the spaces are well maintained with glasses, cups, plates etc removed once used and refreshments regularly topped up. Be on hand to support with any queries.
  • After professional learning events have finished – ensure the spaces are tidy with glasses, cups, plates and resources removed. Coffee machines cleaned and the spaces re stocked with consumables.
  • Under supervision, act as a point of contact responding professionally and efficiently to incoming calls, emails and visitors to ensure all queries and enquiries are dealt with appropriately and to a high standard.
  • To ensure strict confidentiality in all areas of work.
  • To work and process personal and sensitive information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
  • To ensure work is conducted in a way that protects the safety and security of information (e.g. strong passwords, reporting breaches, securing paper records, securely disposing of records).
  • To understand and comply with the statutory guidance regarding safeguarding of children, ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare at all times, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.
  • To comply with the Tykes Teaching Alliance/HCAT’s policies and procedures at all times.

General

  • You will be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, inclusion, health, safety and security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person without delay.
  • You will participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • Experience in design, Adobe / Canva / social media
  • Customer service experience (ideally in the hospitality sector)
  • Knowledge of a range of standard computer packages e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook email

  • Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
  • Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
  • Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
