Job Description
Role Summary:
Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for a L4 Software Developer Apprentice at Day One Technologies.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret established storyboards in Adobe XD.
- Develop eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline 360.
- Integrate multimedia components (audio, video, animations) into eLearning modules.
- Practise good written and spoken communication skills.
- Function as part of a multi-skilled eLearning development team.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills / Personal Qualities:
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe XD) to create visually appealing graphics, animations, and interactive elements.
- Tech-savvy with a keen interest in learning other technologies like Unity or Unreal Engine for more immersive eLearning experiences.
- Good communication and collaboration skills: collaborate effectively with a team of designers and developers, while consistently communicating progress to managers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Time-management: Be able to adhere to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Attention to detail: Ensure meticulous testing and quality assurance of eLearning products and maintain consistent design and functionality across the project timeline to guarantee the build’s integrity and expected performance.
- Demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving skills in developing course structures and layouts.
Future Prospects:
This role offers the potential for a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, contingent on performance.

- Implement accurate and effective change control.
- Undertake unit testing of solutions, with appropriate levels of test code coverage, to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply suitable ‘bug fixes’ based on severity and priority.
