Dolphin IT Solutions is an IT Development Business Company based in Guildford. Dolphin IT Solutions is a Microsoft platform focussed development and consultancy business based in Guildford, Surrey. We currently have a small team of developers and consultants and do all our development in house. We are a full IT project lifecycle delivery company who puts quality of service to clients at the top of our priorities.
Due to a strong period of new sales and client engagement we are re-investing in the business development growth and as part of that investment we need to increase the number support technicians.
Job Description:
Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Solution Developer Apprentice at Dolphin IT Solutions.
Role Summary:
Dolphin IT Solutions Ltd. Is looking to recruit a new member to support our development team. The role will be for an IT Solution Developer who will be tasked with designing low-code solutions using our flagship system, as well as supporting products designed with it.
Key Responsibilities:
The duties you will be expected to perform to the best of your ability will include (but may not be limited to):
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Conduct requirements analysis sessions with clients.
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers.
- Prioritise and manage many open tasks & support cases at one time.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills Required:
Good personable skills and an excellent communicator | We are looking for a person who can communicate well with co-workers and clients. |
Good timekeeper and able to prioritise tasks efficiently | This is a must have. We require a reliable and conscientious person to join our team. |
Good team player and able to work well unsupervised | Must be a good fit for the team as we are quite a small team and rely on each other’s support. Also, must be a self-starter and able to focus and work unsupervised when needed. |
A strong focus on quality assurance | This is a must. Our reputation is what keeps our clients coming back to us. We deliver quality services and applications to our clients and as such this role requires a person with a strong focus on quality control. |
Flexible and adaptable to change | As a small team we require our staff to be flexible with their attitude and approach to delivery. |
Understanding of the Microsoft Office applications. | The right person will be adept with the Microsoft set of office applications to include Word, Excel, Access, PPT as a minimum. |

Future Prospects:
This role offers the potential for a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, contingent on performance.
Training to be provided:
Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
- Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
