      Brief job description:

      Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to complement their existing teams, helping them keep their equipment, software and services correctly configured, secure and up to date and assist with onboarding all new recruits.

      Job Description:

      The successful candidate will work with our IT Managed Service Provider and Internal IT Service Delivery Team to manage service issues, resolve faults, identify opportunities for improvement, manage IT assets and provide updates to business on resolution.

      Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

      • Provide on-site technical support to all staff across various offices
      • Have a sympathetic and understanding approach to all service users;
      • Work with our IT service provider and in-house IT service department to minimise IT downtime and ensure evolving user requirements are being met.
      • Produce any follow up actions and escalate as necessary within the business
      • Assist users with specification and order of new equipment and office IT environments
      • Maintain office IT environment to high standard
      • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles and SLA;
      • Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected;
      • To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues;
      • Support users in the use of Computer equipment as and when needed;
      • To provide technical support; answering support queries either via phone or email.
      • Regular software checks to ensure the most up to date and correct software is being run
      • Provide weekly reports / updates on current escalations, IT performance, trends
      • Create and maintain tips and tricks solution guide for users
      • Provide first day support to all new starters


      • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

      Skills Required:

      • Experience with using and troubleshooting Outlook/Office 365 within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, and delegation);
      • Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration;
      • Excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills;
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with an emphasis on Windows desktop technologies
      • Relevant 1st line / Helpdesk support / Internal IT Support experience.
      • Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
      • Will be London based but require some travel to other UK offices
      • Preferable experience / understanding with AutoDesk software including AutoCAD

      Training to be provided:

      The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

      Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Skills Development Coach who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

      This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:

      • Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
      • PC Fundamentals
      • Business Processes & Customer Services
      • Networking & Architecture
      • Mobile & Operating Systems
      • Cloud Services
      • Coding & Logic

      Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
