We are looking to recruit a full-time 1st Line Service Desk Apprentice for 3Gi Technology, the Technology Services Business. We are looking for a growth minded (reference ‘Mindset’), organized individual who is flexible and eager to learn. The job role here will start in 3Gi Technology, where the career progression options are already plentiful and varied with a proven track record of helping our apprentices grow and develop their business and technical skills. We have mentored and nurtured talented individuals, supporting their progression from the Service Desk into 2nd/3rd Line roles, architecture support, development, operations, and project management roles.  CloudCombinator and RoboShadow provide more specialist career paths if that is a trajectory you feel you are up for!

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Apprentice, your main / immediate responsibility will include:

  • Providing 1st line technical support for telephone and email requests from users.
  • Offering application support to ensure users are leveraging cloud systems to their fullest potential.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, escalating or resolving them as required.
  • Maintaining and documenting the registration system.
  • Managing user requests for software downloads or installations.
  • Maintaining existing systems and troubleshooting performance issues.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Grade 4/5 or above in English & Maths GCSE
  • Qualifications: Self-taught tech skills in a subject of your interest

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
