      Brief job description:

      Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an Data Technician with Choice Insurance, a Insurance Broker based in Southend on Sea.

      Job Description:

      This role is open for someone who is technologically minded and a born problem solver. They will be providing IT support to staff members with varied skill abilities. They will also be the ‘go-to’ person for system users on the insurance platform.

      Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

      The successful applicant for this role will:

      • Provide internal IT support to 10-15 staff within the office, including software and hardware support.
      • Maintain security protocols
      • Develop and update schemes hosted on an insurance quote-and-buy platform throughout the product lifecycle (including writing excel based rating files and HTML documents)
      • Learn how to understand client needs based off underwriting guides, wordings and binders.
      • Work on web design using HTML and CSS

      Qualifications:

      • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

      Skills Required:

      A history if computing experience is a must, whether it be at home for the family or a hobby.

      Training to be provided:

      Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.       Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

      Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Data Technician, with training in how to:

      • Identify the right data sources for your business to inform decision making.
      • Collect, compile and cleanse data accurately and securely.
      • Identify, anaylse and interpret data, trends and patterns.
      • Produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
      • Summarise and present the results of data analysis, making recommendations for business improvement.
      • Store and archive data in line with data protection legislation.
