Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Analyst Apprentice with DMC Canotec, a Managed Print & Document Services Company based in Southampton

Job Responsibilities:

Profitability Reviews

Mine and analyse large datasets for all clients, draw valid inferences
and present them successfully to management using the necessary
tools. These should be categorised into loss making, break-even and
below target.

Review above target profitable (platinum) customers to identify
any potential opportunities or threats.

Regularly update, analyse and report on machine profitability,
identifying any adverse trends and variances.
Produce additional ad-hoc reports to ensure that this objective is
consistently being met.

Assist Account Managers with customer related management
information to enable them to complete their account reviews.

Service Reporting

Prepare various regional statistical reports on operational
performance, on a monthly and quarterly basis incorporating the

Service revenue, parts & toner spend, Engineer response times,
number of Engineer field and return-to-fit visits, first time fixes
and anomalies, machine up/down time, number of machines in the

Routinely analyse device volume and cost per copy trends.

Full responsibility for the monthly Service reporting pack, which
includes all areas of analysis for the division.

Provide sector and competitor benchmarking.

Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations.


Liaising with the Financial Controller and Service Director, identify
areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.

Furthermore, ensuring that areas for development or concerns are
highlighted whilst recommending any corrective action.

Maintain a consistent dialogue with Sales Account Managers and
Regional Sales Director on any customer or device related matter.

In the absence of the Financial Controller, concerns should be
directed to the Finance Director.

Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data
content as necessary.

• 7 GCSEs grades A*- C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and at least a B/6 in Maths)
