Cyber Vigilance is a managed security services and solutions provider based in Guildford, Surrey. The company was born out of a technical delivery background. The founders have served as contractors for two of the largest UK Financial organizations (amongst others) trusted to deliver security solutions and processes to support upwards of 270,000 users.
Job Description:
Cyber Vigilance is looking for an apprentice, learning new skills and working with the latest technologies in Cyber Security, interacting with our strategic technology vendors and customers alike to deliver best in class security advice and solutions to keep businesses as cyber fit as they can be, from helping them with Cyber awareness training for staff, to delivering complex technical solutions that deliver consistent and secure networks for users and systems and ensuring compliance.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Monitoring of systems, observing and reporting on alerts
- Responding to incidents, following process, and communicating with customers
- Deliver demos of Cyber Vigilances Strategic vendors to prospects and clients
- Led in the delivery of proof of concepts to prospects and clients
- Analyse and respond to threats detected by Cyber Vigilances managed threat detection platform
- Write and publish technical blog articles for the Cyber Vigilance website and weekly digest
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills & Qualities Required:
- A keen interest in IT Network and security technologies
- A practical and analytical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in educational or personal IT networks and security are desirable
- Good interpersonal skills
- Not afraid to speak up or volunteer suggestions and good ideas
- Good attention to detail
- Communication with sales, technical and leadership,
- Team player with a positive outlook

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist, with training in how to:
- Discover potential vulnerabilities, threats and hazards in your systems, services and processes.
- Develop security designs and configure, deploy and use appropriate cyber security technology to protect your business.
- Identify, analyse and develop security cases to defend against potential threats.
- Write program code or scripts to meet a given design requirement that improves your cyber security.
- Understand the latest attack techniques and recommend ways to defend against them.
