      Brief job description:

      Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a 1st Line Support Apprentice with Paystream a Financial Services company based in Altrincham.

      Job Description:

      Responsible for logging and trouble-shooting customer technical issues. You will need to be a passionate customer advocate who possesses the right balance of intuition and resourcefulness to deliver a world-class customer experience

      Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

      • Be the first port of call for support on Incidents, Service Requests and Major Incidents
      • Perform root cause analysis of repeat issues
      • Assist with new and ongoing IT projects
      • Manage own queue daily to ensure SLA’s are met
      • Manage the 1st Line support queue and escalate tickets to 2nd line where applicable
      • Build key relationships with key technical contacts at client sites and third parties
      • Escalation of hardware and software issues to the relevant parties
      • Escalation of Active Directory, Hardware, Backup and Windows Server issues to the relevant parties


      • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

      Skills Required:

      • Windows Server (2012 upwards)
      • Windows 10 clients & Microsoft Office
      • Microsoft 365 – Exchange, Teams, OneDrive + InTune
      • Cloud Security (preferably Mimecast)
      • Active Directory (Azure AD Desirable) + Group Policy

      Personal qualities:

      • Have a passion for technology
      • Able to understand a range of different customer environments
      • Motivated, Time Management, Planning & Control
      • Good understanding of Windows desktop operating systems
      • Experience with mobile devices such as laptops and tablets
      • Have good telephone and customer service skills

      Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

      • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
      • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
      • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
      • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
      • Support the information systems needs for your business.
