Formerly qualified as a Mechanical Engineer, 27-year-old Ineel Kler wanted a career change. He was looking to start a career in Digital Marketing just before Covid-19 began, after being made redundant.
Ineel wanted the opportunity to both learn and progress, and it was onboarding the Digital Marketing apprenticeship at Estio Training and through working at Love Shopping Direct that his potential was sky rocketed. Ineel tells us how the support from Estio, “the checking in” on him was what enabled him to “learn and upskill remotely”.
Learning and upskilling
From the training, Ineel tells us how he learnt about campaign planning. Which involved learning about “marketing campaigns from the beginning, all the way to the end”. A vital skill needed as a marketer. Ineel goes on to explaining how this involved upskilling in areas about “Google Analytics for insights/ forecasting, competitor analysis, the ‘7 P’s’, problem solving, how to leverage interest and target a specific audience.”
Ineel worked especially hard on the Devola homepage by Love Shopping Direct.
Growing with the business
From learning these skills, it has meant that Ineel can put them into practice at Love Shopping Direct. Since Ineel completed his apprenticeship, he has been promoted to an Affiliate Marketing Specialist. With this promotion his responsibilities have grown. Ineel is now working with stakeholders within the business, affiliating successful campaigns. He tells how he sees himself staying at this company. As even after the apprenticeship he is “continuing to gain skills and experience” in this family business.
