Job Description:

Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Apprentice at a Law Firm based in Oxfordshire.

Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Apprentice to join our IT team. The IT team is a busy and integral part of the firm where we support all aspects of the IT operation. The successful candidate will become the first point of contact for end users, learning the skills needed to fulfil the role whilst also gaining exposure to the peripheral activities that occur within our IT team (Backups, Cyber Security resilience, software development etc.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:

• Provide 1st line telephone support
• Communicating with Staff and providing the first contact point
• Logging tickets on the helpdesk system
• Responding to tickets and liaising with Helpdesk Manager / IT Operations Manager.
• User account management (Active Directory)
• As skills start to develop, troubleshooting basic IT/ technical issues
• Familiarising yourself with networks, servers, firewall, switches, printers (MFD), Mobile Devices (iPhone)

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Minimum 5 GCSEs, Grades 9-4 (A* – C), to Include Maths & English
• OR relevant work experience

Training to be provided:

• Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
• Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
• Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
• Support the information systems needs for your business.
