Job Description:
Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Helpdesk/1st Line Support Engineer Apprentice FOR Comms-Byte IT Support and Services company based in Stockport.
Role Summary:
We are a small, close-knit team with a vibrant office environment and various Microsoft/Partner accreditations.
We are a mix of individuals with a passion for IT and we always provide immense support to our apprentices and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Helpdesk/1st Line Support Engineer Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:
You will be providing customer support to external clients remotely as well as getting involved in new releases and installations, testing, project work and general IT Support.

We are looking for a customer focused, dedicated individual who is passionate about developing a career in IT. Working on a busy helpdesk you will promote a first-time fix focus, working on your initiative to resolve issues for clients & escalating issues where all avenues have been explored.
The key tasks include:
- Taking, analysing and resolving all first line support calls from clients.
- Entering and ensuring that correct information on the call and resolutions is in the Company Helpdesk system, both for initial calls and for ongoing problems and further.
- Control of our system monitoring system and identification of potential problems will be a key skill.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and the ability to think through and communicate resolutions at all levels both internally and externally.
- The nature of the role requires exceptional communication skills at all levels.
- Attention to detail is paramount to ensure that all customer contact is as effective as possible.
- Maintaining our Company image and values.
- The dress code is smart the usual for an office environment.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills Required:
- The role requires an excellent understanding of our Company Service Ethic, its ethos and general technical capabilities and concepts.
- A strict adherence to the policies and procedures of the Company is always required.
- A smart appearance and professional image must be always maintained to ensure that the Company is promoted in the best light to other organisations.
- All staff are required to carry out tasks that do not relate directly to their role and a willingness to assist within other parts of the company is essential.
