Job Description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Junior IT Support Engineer with Natpoint, an IT Support company, based at Elstree Aerodrome, Hertfordshire.
Role Summary:
A Support based hands on Junior IT role based on-site at the HQ in Edgeware. The role will grow in responsibility and autonomy as the candidate gains skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1st Line IT Support
- Troubleshooting
- Using Software to fix and enhance customer systems
- Managing hardware systems and up-selling
- Basic Security measure i.e. managing firewalls and security settings
- Maintenance of networks, Mac and Windows
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills Required:
- Interest in the IT industry
- Basic experience or junior qualification
- Desire to forge a career within the IT industry, and seeking to progress internally
Personal Qualities:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Approachable and helpful personality
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Future Prospects:
This role offers the potential for a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, contingent on performance.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
- Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
