Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Technician with Bizerba, a weighing and cutting technology marketer leader based in Milton Keynes.
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated individual who is seeking a career in IT, to progress from an Apprentice to a qualified IT Technician.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Adding, amending and removing user accounts.
- Troubleshooting and resolving or escalating desktop or network computer issues.
- Use Ticket system to document employee support requests.
- Provide support, including sign posting to procedural documentation.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Manage and update hardware and software asset registers.
- Installing and configuring computer operating systems and applications.
- Diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.
- Support the delivery of IT rollouts and projects.
- Supporting telephony and hardware infrastructure.
Qualifications:
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths).
Skills Required:
- IT knowledge – technical. You may have gained this at school, college, self-taught or work experience.
- Good communicator and excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work constructively within a team.
- Customer orientated with excellent problem-solving skills.
- The ability to multitask and to manage changing workloads and priorities.
- Be reliable, determined and trustworthy.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn.
Prospects:
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.
Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
- Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
- Maintain regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
