• Investigating issues
• Collecting performance statistics
• Creating reports using application management software and tools

This apprenticeship falls into funding band 20, with funding of up to £17,000 available.

The Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard says this is a level 3 course teaching learners to deliver efficient operation and control of IT within an organisation.

Duties include:

• Providing technical support to customers both internal and external through a range of communication channels
• Establishing and diagnosing ICT problems/faults using the required troubleshooting methodology and tools
• Interpreting technical specifications relevant to the ICT task
• Applying the appropriate security policies to ICT tasks in line with organisation requirements

This is a band 18 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £15,000 available.

The Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship Standard is level 4 qualification based around applying an understanding of cyber security to protect from attacks and unauthorised access.

Duties include:

• Identifying cyber vulnerabilities in a system to ensure security is maintained
• Researching and investigating attack techniques and recommending ways to defend against them
• Developing security designs with design justification to meet the defined cyber security parameters
• Configuring, deploying and using computer, digital network and cyber security technology

This is a band 21 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £18,000.

The Network Engineer Apprenticeship Standard is a level 4 course based around designing, installing, maintaining and supporting communication networks within an organisation or between organisations.

Duties include:

• Acquiring and analysing network performance data to monitor network activity
• Undertaking upgrades to a network including physical or virtual systems
• Optimising and maintaining the performance of network systems and services in line with well-defined specifications
• Using operational data to manage weekly work schedules in an efficient and cost effective way

This is a band 20 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £17,000.

The level 3 Software Development Technician Apprenticeship Standard state this qualification is designed for teach learners to build simple applications for use larger software developments.

Duties include:

• Identifying and reporting any impediments to progress in development activities to supervisors
• Following instructions to convert customer requirements to technical requirements
• Identifying and implementing security features of a proposed design.

This is a funding band 18 course with maximum funding of £15,000.

The Software Developer Apprenticeship Standard describes this as a level 4 qualification based on building and testing simple, high-quality code for software.

Duties include:

• Taking and interpreting given software development requirements
• Identifying and reporting impediments to software development activities and proposing practical solutions
• Converting customer requirements into technical requirements
• Identifying and selecting appropriate technical solutions and coding best practice
• Ensuring security considerations are built into codes from inception

This is a band 21 apprenticeship with funding available up to £18,000.

The Software Tester Apprenticeship Standard states this is a level 4 qualification which involves carrying out tests to make sure computer software works as intended and is fit for purpose.

Duties include:

• Analysing test objectives to design and prepare a test plan that aligns with the test strategy
• Specifying test environment requirements
• Collecting, interpreting and developing representative and realistic data
• Operating the organisation’s software testing tools

This is a band 21 apprenticeship with funding available up to £18,000.

The DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship Standard describes this as a level 4 apprenticeship based on enabling organisations to get valuable working software out in front of active users and improving the quality of digital services.

Duties include:

• Engaging in productive pair/mob programming to underpin the practice of peer review
• Building and operating a Continuous Integration (CI) capability, employing version control of source code and related artefacts
• Applying leading security practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Implementing a good coverage of monitoring, ensuring that alerts are visible, tuneable and actionable

This is a band 20 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £17,000.

The Data Technician Apprenticeship Standard is a level 3 qualification teaching learners to source, format and present data securely in a relevant way for analysis.

Duties include:

• Securely sourcing data from a collection of pre-identified trusted sources
• Analysing simple and complex structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes using basic statistical methods to analyse the data
• Storing, managing and sharing data securely in a compliant manner
• Collaborating with people both internally and externally at all levels with a view to creating value from data

This is a band 15 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £12,000.

The Data Analyst Apprenticeship Standard is a level 4 qualification based around collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insight.

Duties include:

• Identifying data sources to meet the organisation’s requirement, using evidence-based decision making to establish a rationale for inclusion and exclusion of various data sets and models
• Producing performance dashboards and reports in the Visualisation and Model Building Phase
• Liaising with clients and colleagues to establish reporting needs and deliver insightful and accurate information
• Identifying, analysing and interpreting trends or patterns in data sets

This is a band 18 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £15,000.

The Business Analyst Apprenticeship Standard is a level 4 qualification involving working with organisations to improve their information systems.

Duties include:

• Applying structured techniques to investigate wants, needs, problems and opportunities
• Documenting the current situation and applying relevant techniques to structure information
• Assisting in the development of options and recommendations for change
• Modelling business processes using relevant techniques

This is a band 21 apprenticeship with £18,000 maximum funding.

The Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Standard is a level 3 qualification teaching learners to use online and social media platforms to design, build and implement campaigns and drive customer sales.

Duties include:

• Working to marketing briefs and instructions
• Implementing digital campaigns across a variety of online platforms
• Working to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention through the use of social media and other online platforms
• Reporting to a marketing superior, generally a digital marketing manager

This is a band 14 apprenticeship with maximum funding of £11,000.
