We’re delighted to have received an Ofsted Good Provider rating at our first full inspection. Delivering digital and technology apprenticeship training since 2013, the inspection came after a Monitoring Visit earlier in 2021 concluded that Estio had made ‘Significant Progress.’
The full inspection, which took place last November, identified many achievements across Estio’s engagement with apprentices, employers, and colleagues.
The report highlights how apprentices value their interactive, interesting, and online learning experience. Chief Operating Officer at Estio, Nichola Hay MBE said: “We successfully adapted to the changing landscape that Covid-19 created, whilst ensuring that the calibre of our training environment didn’t change. We worked to ensure that the remote training delivery still felt interactive for our learners. Our trainers continue to educate based on their commercial, real-life experience to help apprentices apply their learning from day one in their workplace.”
Employers were also recognised as benefitting from close, collaborative working relationships with Estio that ensure well-structured and relevant curriculums are developed to meet their business objectives.
Nichola adds: “We work with employers with a view to helping them shape a long-term workforce plan. Employers often come to us after identifying a specific skills gap that they know an apprenticeship can fill. But we also like to show them how apprenticeships can be used as critical business solutions, such as creating succession planning, improving staff retention, or opening doors for professional development opportunities.”
“The team at Estio are what makes us who we are.”
The Estio team was also praised for the support given to colleagues and investment in their continuous professional development. Nichola said: “The team at Estio are what makes us who we are – bringing value every day to ensure that we never fail to deliver the high-quality apprenticeship training that we have become known for.”
Estio is now looking forward to what 2022 will bring. Nichola concludes: “We’re excited to be able to shout about being an Ofsted Good Provider to our learners and employers, while continuing to seek out and further strengthen our vision of building skills for better futures for anyone wanting a career in IT.”
