The time shares of training and working for your employer is dependent on which apprenticeship programme you partake. As our programmes differ in length and module content.
But on all programmes, it is required that all learners spend a minimum of 20% of this their time on the programme Off-The-Job (OTJ) training.
OTJ training can be in the form of training at Estio, shadowing others at work, learning at work through research articles & videos, spending time on the VLE, and revising.
You can document your OTJ training on your e-portfolio. Which will enable you to calculate if you have reached 20% or need to spend more time training.
Please bring a form of identification. Such as a passport, or drivers’ licence. As well as GCSE certificates you have.
We use BKSB tests to determine your current level of knowledge. To assess if you need further support with English and Maths.
All learners who come on an apprenticeship program with Estio must be working at level 2 in English and maths, even if you have passed your GCSEs. We need to see what level you are currently working at.
English, Maths, ICT, and some knowledge of Sustainability are desirable.
If you do not have GCSEs in Maths and/or English at C grade + or cannot find your certificates, we are able to check the learner record services. To let us see if there is a prior learning record available for you.
If we cannot find any evidence of your prior learning record, we will put you onto Functional Skills training.
You will receive your training schedule within one, working week from booking the induction.
We provide laptops to the learners that are not supplied with one from their employer. Along with a keyboard and mouse if needed.
Microsoft Office and other licenses should be provided by the employer of the learner.
If a learner has DSE requirements this should be discussed fore mostly with their employer.
As a part of your OTJ training you will be encouraged to work on projects that help with your CPD. For example, shadowing a colleague to address your transferable skills. This is so that you progress with your potential.
