Job Description:

Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for a Solutions Engineer Apprentice based in Market Harborough.

Role Summary:

In this role, you’ll be the face of our company, working directly with customers to install, configure, and support our suite of telecommunications products. You’ll travel extensively across the Midlands and South of England, so a full UK driving licence (with at least 2 years’ experience) is required. A company vehicle and fuel will be provided. No prior IT or networking experience? No problem! We provide full training—you just need a logical mindset, a strong work ethic, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer-Facing Technical Support: Provide hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting at customer premises.
  • Remote Support: Diagnose and resolve issues remotely when on-site visits aren’t required.
  • Problem-Solving: Use a logical, solution-focused approach to ensure customer issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Brand Representation: Maintain professionalism and uphold our company values in all customer interactions.
  • Travel & On-Site Work: Drive to various customer sites across the Midlands & South of England—sometimes requiring significant travel.
  • Punctuality & Professionalism: Work around customer schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and well-planned travel.
  • Learning & Development: Work with a range of evolving technologies and continuously expand your skill set.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent customer service skills – You’ll be the face of our company, so professionalism and social awareness are essential.
  • Logical and solutions-driven – You enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy mindset – Experience in networking, IT hardware, or software is a bonus but not required.

Personal Qualities:

  • Self-motivated & independent – You’ll often be working alone on-site, so strong time management is key.
  • Highly adaptable & eager to learn – Our products evolve, and so should you!

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
