Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an Apprentice Programmer/Developer with Penknife Integrated Marketing, a marketing agency based in Watford.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Programmer/Developer. You will need to be enthusiastic, have some html experience and aptitude, possess creative flair and most of all a ‘can do’ attitude. In return you will be fast tracked in developing a whole host of creative skills, working alongside our creatives.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Programming in HTML
- Creating online campaigns
- Programming websites in html – HTML, PHP, WordPress, JavaScript, CSS etc
- Programming email campaigns
- Creating PowerPoint presentations
- Creating forms and backend of websites
- Creating animations for campaigns
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required (favourable, but not essential):
- PHP
- WordPress
- Custom Fields
- Reusable blocks
- JavaScript
- Forms
- HTML
- CSS
- SCSS
- JavaScript (Vanilla / jQuery)
- React/Next.js
- Dynamic UIs

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Software Development Technician, with training in how to:
- Implement secure code in appropriate languages of different types.
- Support the communication of software solutions and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct a range of test types.
- Build scripts in line with work instructions for deployment into the relevant environment.
- Design simple software solutions to meet your requirements using tools and techniques.
