As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking to innovate with our technology stack and are seeking a Support Engineer to assist Two Circlers globally with their end-user computing and modern workplace technologies. Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Information Communications Technician Apprentice with Two Cirles, a data-driven sports marketing agency based in London.

Job Description:

As a Support Engineer at Two Circles, your key role involves 1st-2nd line support, including setting up devices, deploying, installing and configuring software, user access management in multiple systems and Windows applications support. You are responsible for helping to fix and troubleshoot user hardware and software issues, ordering hardware supplies and liaising with 3rd parties where appropriate. You have great communication skills, as well as good timemanagement and a positive attitude. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop technical and nontechnical skills and to work in a fun and fast-paced environment.

You will be introduced to the world of sport business, data-driven marketing, and what it takes to become a Two Circler. And you’ll work with some of the best sports organisations in the world (depending who you support!). You will have a wealth of opportunities for training and development in our broader technology stack as you take on more responsibilities and go on to change the game by potentially progressing into more advanced roles, such as an Ops Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant or Data Engineer.

When you are not delivering against specific projects or contributing to effective IT Operations activities, you are spotting opportunities to add value or realise improvements, working on your own professional development and learning objectives or sharing knowledge with other Two Circlers.

This role will be part of the DataOps & Engineering Team.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Using our Service Management tool to pick-up and complete a wide variety of support requests and tasks from Two Circlers worldwide, taking ownership and keeping your colleagues up-to-date and informed until resolution
  • Ensuring new Two Circlers get the best possible start to their time with us by preparing and distributing their IT equipment in advance of their start date and greeting them with a smooth technology onboarding and support call on their first day
  • Upgrading, repairing or securely recycling end-user hardware and devices
  • Maintaining an accurate and complete asset register of IT equipment
  • Managing device stock and licence capacity, ordering from 3rd party suppliers as needed
  • Training and supporting Two Circlers with collaboration and unified communication technologies, including Teams meetings, Teams Live Events and Teams-enabled room equipment
  • Performing User Access Management across our systems for Two Circlers and Client users
  • Gaining deeper knowledge and understanding of our technology stack and how we use it, while learning about new features and capabilities continually being developed and added to our cloud applications
  • Protecting the data entrusted to us by our clients at all times

The ideal background and skills we are looking for include:

  • Understanding of IT Operations and Service Management practices, including incident/request, change and problem management, monitoring, events and alerting, task tracking and fulfilment toolsets, capacity planning
  • Supporting and configuring Windows 10, Mac OS X, iOS, Android
  • Basic administration of Office 365, 1 or more Windows Server roles, Active Directory
  • Working understanding of networking and cloud vs on-prem infrastructure
  • Awareness of Data Protection, Privacy and Governance principles, e.g. GDPR
  • Using and maintaining good standards of documentation
  • Great self-starting attitude and keen to join an entrepreneurial organisation where every working day is different
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Problem solver – you have a curiosity and a willingness to learn new things
  • A team player who contributes to collective goals above personal gain

 

Experience with the following would also be beneficial:

  • PowerShell, SQL, Power BI
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially Azure, Power Platform
  • Application-specific system and data configuration, e.g. DWH, CMS, CRM, ERP, PIM
  • ITIL or other good practice framework
  • Experience of, or a keen interest in, the business of sport

 

 

Skills Required:

This role would suit someone with a proven interest in IT who is technically minded and experienced

or interested in Software, Networking and PC Hardware with a positive attitude and a keen eye for

problem solving and customer service.

You’ll also be confident in using Microsoft Office, have excellent verbal and written communication

skills and a proven ability to solve problems and work in a team.

The following would be beneficial:

  • Experience of, or a keen interest in IT and technology
  • Experience of fixing a technical issues hardware/desktop or software (for yourself, family

and friends or as part of your computer studies)

  • Experience of, or a keen interest in, the business of sport
  • Experience or knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge, experience or interest in data security, protection and compliance
  • Great self-starting attitude and keen to join an entrepreneurial organisation where every working day is different
  • Strong communication skills including excellent telephone manner
  • A desire to solve problems, with the determination to keep coming back to a problem till it is nailed

Training to be provided:

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive technical training online. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Standard with training in areas such as:

  • Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2

  • Testing and Problem Solving
  • Introduction to Networks
  • Security
  • Cloud Systems
  • Support Teams
  • Specialism (Digital Communications, Network or Support)

Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination to receive a professional certificate.
