Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Service Desk Apprentice with Cloud Business, a Managed IT Services and Cloud Solutions Provider based in Basingstoke.

Job Description:
Based in Guildford Surrey. A fast-growing Microsoft Office 365 Partner of the year is looking to add an IT service desk apprentice to join its rapidly growing managed services team. This program takes place over 13 months with a mixture of work, web, on site and remote training.

With clients across retail, education, legal, media and healthcare you will have every opportunity to grow and succeed. Whether you are looking for the first step in your IT career or career change to IT industry, this business can offer a place for you to grow and define your career.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
• Completing and passing the necessary modules for the Apprenticeship scheme.
• Working on new & outstanding support requests.
• Learning and developing key skills in the following areas
o Microsoft 365 – Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Office
o IT Infrastructure – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
o End User Compute – Device Management, Windows 10, Intune
o Corporate Software – Office, Bespoke business applications
o Customer Service Skills
• Attending customer site visits with other members of the team (Subject to COVID-19 guidance)
• Answering inbound telephone calls from our portfolio of customers
• Owning inbound chat, email, and self-service requests
• Developing core troubleshooting skills across a range of technology

As part of your career development, you will be supported using our “buddy system” partnering with an existing service desk analyst to accelerate your learning. Our service desk analysts consist of both past apprentices and technical engineers with a combined experience profile of over 75 years.

Qualifications:
• 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Personal Skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic understanding of Windows
• Commitment to the completion of the apprentice program

Personal Qualities:
• Genuine passionate for technology
• Willingness to learn.
• Motivation and enthusiasm

Future Prospects:
The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

Training to be provided:
The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive six weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Technical Expert who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Certificate with training in areas such as:
• BCS Security and Legislation
• BCS Core Technologies
• BCS Methodologies and Principles
• Hardware or Software Option

Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
