Brief job description:
The It Apprentice will report to the Practice Manager and will be responsible for the effective and efficient processing of IT data and maintaining all digital and online filing process, PAYE and VAT. The Assistant Account will be based in the Gateshead Office and will be required to liaise closely with the other members of the Finance team
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
-Responsible for maintaining all digital and IT data
-Responsible for assisting all staff with various IT needs
-Responsible for overseeing effective and efficient project for IT needs
-Prepare and maintain an effective IT system ensuring all process and digital projects
-Prepare end of month report on processes and issues
-Monitor various online client accounts,
-Preparation of All digital companies’ house data
-To update and maintain all software’s and general computing and server equipment also work closely with IT manager (external)
-Assist the practice director and manager in daily activities IT based
-Apply relevant safety procedures/guidelines and equal opportunity principles to performance of work
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language, Maths & ICT)
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of IT Systems and systems to a medium sized organisation.
Demonstrated proficiency in use of accounting software preferably IRIS and Kashflow or xero.
Ability to develop and review processes for improvement with excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Experience in payroll systems.
Proven ability to verify information for accuracy and relevance.
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.
Training to be provided:
The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Skills Development Coach who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Standard with training in areas such as:
- Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
- Introduction to IT Support
- Working in IT Support
- Stability & Resilience
- Testing & Problem Solving
- Cloud Services
- Introduction to Networks / Extended Networks
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
