Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an apprentice Info Comms Technician with Sweethaven Computers, an award-winning managed IT services company based in Reigate, Surrey.

Job Description:

To meet customer requirements efficiently and strive to resolve customer issues by delivering the right solutions first time, on time, every time. Problem ownership with clear, concise customer communication whilst managing expectations by that in person, over the phone or via remote connectivity.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Working on-site with 2 other people and support desk available at Sweethaven HQ as well to meet customer needs of the site, both service desk work and project-based work.
  • Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software incidents/problems
  • Provide exceptional service support to internal and external customers
  • Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incident and problems
  • Incident and problem management
  • Install, maintain and support new applications / solutions / hardware / software
  • Establishing a good working relationship with customers and 3rd party’s
  • Keeping accurate records and site documentation




  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)


Skills Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Firewalls, routers & VPN’s – install, configure and troubleshoot
  • Intermediate level of knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot issues using MS Windows desktop/Windows Office, as well as Apple & Android apps.
  • Have dealt with self-builds, troubleshooting, solutions in spare time.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Creative, analytical problem solver with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking
  • Methodical approach suitable to resolution of problems / issues
  • Able to manage changing workload and priorities

Training to be provided:

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive technical training online. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Digital Marketer Standard with training in areas such as:

  • Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
  • Introduction to IT Support
  • Stability and Resilience
  • Testing and Problem Solving
  • Introduction to Networks
  • Security
  • Cloud Systems
  • Support Teams
  • Specialism (Digital Communications, Network or Support)


Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination to receive a professional certificate.
